Owners

Mike Taylor and Colby Lingerfelt are the owners of Alliance LARP Virginia, bringing years of experience in LARPing, storytelling, and game management. Their passion for immersive roleplay and inclusive community-building ensures every event is memorable, engaging, and fun for all players.

Staff

Our staff is a dedicated team of storytellers, combat marshals, and logistics experts who work behind the scenes to bring our world to life. From designing compelling plotlines to ensuring fair gameplay, our volunteers and NPCs are committed to providing an exciting, well-run experience at every event.

  • Andrew C. – Head of Plot and Rules, crafting dynamic and engaging storylines and ensuring fair and balanced mechanics.

  • Ed H. – Head of Logistics, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

  • Matt – Head of the Tavern, keeping players fueled and immersed in the world.

  • Jess – Monster Camp Manager and New Player Rep, ensuring monster camp is organized and NPCs as well as orient new players.

  • Garrett – Monster Camp Manager, assisting the Head of Plot in executing plot and keeping monster camp and NPCs organized.

  • Dave S. – Plot Team Member, helping weave engaging and interactive narratives.

General Staff Responsibilities

  • The Owner serves in the capacity of GM only.

    • Facilitates financial obligations for the chapter,

    • Maintains official contact with the national Alliance LARP organization,

    • Oversees organization of all departments and staff, ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed,

    • Assists with customer relations, working with players to address concerns,

    • Acts as a safety net for all operations, stepping in to fill any role or assist any department when needed.

    • Designs and coordinates story arcs and event narratives,

    • Manages plot team members and NPC cast,

    • Oversees writing of modules, encounters, and in-game content,

    • Ensures consistency of lore and worldbuilding within the Alliance rules framework.

    • Functions as an at-game manager for Monster Camp operations,

    • Assists the HoP with NPC coordination and game flow,

    • Ensures Monster Camp is clean, organized, and stocked,

    • Maintains knowledge of prop and costuming locations,

    • Helps NPCs with character cards and mechanics as needed.

    • Maintains rules knowledge for the chapter,

    • Answers rules questions for players and staff,

    • Oversees rules marshals during events,

    • Ensures rules are applied consistently and fairly.


    • Handles pre-registration and check-in for events,

    • Tracks and maintains character databases and experience records,

    • Manages item cards, tags, and ritual records,

    • Works closely with plot and rules to ensure accurate player records.

    • Oversees food service operations during events,

    • Plans and organizes event menus and supply purchasing,

    • Coordinates tavern staff and volunteers,

    • Ensures health and safety compliance for food handling.
